An Army officer as a career has always been a dream for young energetic Indian youth. An army officer is one who holds a position of authority.

1.The Indian army offers both permanent and short services commission.
2.Permanent commission is granted through the Indian Military Academy(IMA),Dehradun and Short Service commission(SSC) is granted through Officers Training Academy(OTA),Chennai.
3.PERMANENT SERVICES-
a)NDA- Enroll for NDA after you have passed/appeared 10+2 in any stream. Only MALE candidates can join.
b)CDSE- Graduation in any discipline is necessary. You should be SINGLE.
c)Engineering Graduates-An Engineering graduate can join the IMA directly. They only need to attend the Service Selection Board Interview. You should be SINGLE.
d)University Entry Scheme- Final or Pre-Final years of engineering degree can apply. You should be SINGLE.
